Every day i notice at the round abouts r at the signals immediately after the green signal the person from behind gives horn...what he/she thinks the person who is in the first may b sleeping r they want to show they r very smart...?i mean not all...not decent persons....but only very few...?
well sometimes some people are really in rush coz of circumstances..as in case of emergency, thats y they horn or flash you from behind,i said some not all, dont always think negative, sometimes really your r driving in relaxing mood but u dunno the person behind u is in emergency.so there is no harm of changing track rather than feeling bad.if u think u r slow driver, never drive on fast track, cuz really its very irritating to bear someone driving at 40km/hr at fast track on long routes like al-khor,measid..n so
This type of situation is not only at signals/Round abouts but also on roads,If suppose the speed limit of that road is 80 kms,and if you are on fast track with the max road limit speed, some one from behind will emerge flashing/horning you continuously not giving you chance/time to change the track,no doubt with a speed of 100+ kms from behind, specially big cars,4x4 how far this is decent? I have been in different places in GCC viz Oman,Emirates etc, this is more in practise in Qatar,WHY?
The answer is clear. The main probably only perpertrators of this practice are nationals and it is one of the ways that they can try and impose themselves on you as an expat - it manifests itself in many ways on the road.... it is because in general they are incapable of imposing themselves on expats in any other way - socially, professionally, personally, culturally .....its a social inadequacy that one gets used too. In general the advice is ignore - they know no better.
I have noticed wen the signal is open ...and the person at the front didnt move for lyk 5 secs ... then the ppl behind horn ... or mayub in ur case...the guy behind may b in emergency !!
Everybody is carrying a little bit of frustration nowadays which you can clearly see while driving, shopping and even when dealing with little children on the streets.

they horn because they feel horny
Your answer is in your question. "Not decent".
I've had a lot of such bad experiences! Those people are so impatient & rude! They should really be fined for doing so!
