Stars: Hiam Abbass, Makram Khoury, etc.
Directed by Eran Riklis
(In Hebrew, Arabic, and English language with English translations)
A Palestinian widow who has a large lemon tree farm inherited from her father was shocked to know that half of the trees were instantly fenced and wired when a new resident, an Israeli political figure, shifts his new house besides her farm and builds maximum security against possible threats coming from Hezbollah. She filed a complaint to a nearby Palestinian municipal office but nobody cared about it. Until a new hotshot lawyer comes in and helps her defend her rights...alongside the wife of the said political figure.
A poignant drama that relates to the current political situation that revolves around the Palestine-Israel conflict, it gives us certain perspectives on both sides of the story and how each and both of the political paranoia affects as much as any ordinary citizen that quietly lives in its own ordinary way of life.
I usually get the movie done within average 2 days. Oh well, Im not forcing my downloads to finish ASAP. I already got that movie since April. Just dont have the time to watch and review them one by one. Now I got nothing to do this Eid but a movie marathon and fever bed rest.
