Hi, i will be working in Qatar particularly in Doha as a photographer and graphic designer for the first time around October 2009.

I am a filipino, i have been in other countries like hongkong and singapore but i haven't been in any middle eastern countries before.

i would like to ask for some advice and tips on what to do and what is not when i go there.

and also i would like to know if there is any organizations or groups that i could join para naman di gaano ma-homesick. LOL

Thanks a lot. any advice and replies would be very much appreciated.

good side:

1. tax free

2. you are coming here because you have work; others are leaving because they are terminated

3. meet new friends

other side:

1. no pork

2. keep yourself safe from CID(police), they are everywhere

3. difficult public transport; if you will be driving you will meet crazy drivers

4. sponsorship will always be an issue

5. other matters you will know bukhra (tomorrow!!!); you will get used to it

just don't expect too much, ok? i hope once you are here you won't be posting anything that concerns boredom. anyhow, welcome!!!
