For one year you must stick with your employer, what is the reason for retrenching,if it is due to economic crisis, company reducing staff, does your employer not satisfied with your work? In case of economic crisis, try to find who is close to your Boss, talk to your mandoop/pro if they can get you a release, many say that their sponsers expect some money to release as they must have spent in getting you here.If you get a relese and looking for a job all the best, send me ur cv,if i can help definitely wl do.

when did you arrived here in qatar? NOC can be given after one year of your transfer. Check the date of your iqama so you will not be confused. Anyhow, it is true that even if you have completed one year of service, it is still your company's prerogative whether to give you a release or not.

NOC is still under employer's discretion. Your employer asked you to stay for 2 years then you disobeyed his rule, therefore you have no option but to come back after 2 years.

October 31, 2009 is quite far from today?...is that a 3-month notice???....or you are just playing here!?

I think it is only one year. Two years is strange form. I did not hear about any new rule recently.

Good luck
