by 2013, the European GNSS system Galileo will be in operation and will be much more accurate than the american GPS system and better than the russian GLONASS system which they plan to restore this year( this was an old USSR system)
guys! mine was working fine on Nokia N95 8GB yesterday and I am pretty sure the americans did't "switch it off". I think there is something wrong with your devices. PM me for the latest Qatar maps. :)) "(switched off, listen to that!" - what a joke
It was working fine.....around 8pm-9pm.....
Salax I guess MD is right. The GPS Satellites belong to US Army......and they might have the option to switch them off.
Russia doesnt want to depend on this and was planning their own GPS Satellites which were more in number and more accurate than US....no idea about the Russian status.

...a Garmin, has worked without any problems today. It got me to QAWS and the Veterinary Surgery during all afternoon :)
The US Airforce switched it off.
Mine was working fine yesterday, let me chk it again, will let u know.
