i had full insurance with QIC expired on 05th Aug 2009 as per insurance law after expiring full insurance it will go for 1month third party...
I had accident on 15th Aug(unfortunately on my birthday)..fortunatly no my mistake...now service center quoted 58000..ofcource it will go to court case..my concern is will they make issue cos i was driving on grace period
For the Istamara only, the grace period is one month from the date of expiry but for the insurance, it expires exactly on the date mentioned on the insurance document. There is no grace period for the insurance.
It is legal from registration (Istimara) point of view, but please do take a check for insurance, because insurance policy is for a limited period. The grace period is offered from Traffic Police not from the Insurance Company.
