The Girl who Leapt Through Time (2006-Japan)
Directed by Mamoru Hosada
(in Japanese audio with English translations)
A Japanese high school girl accidentally fell from an overspeeding bicycle lean down the hill and supposed to be killed by the incoming train...but realizes she got transported back in time and didn't die at all. Trying to find out how it happen, she tries to jump once more and realizes she has the ability to time-jump in another place she wishes to go. She takes advantage of her newly found abilities by cheating exams and preventing herself from her past bad exploits...only to realize that the situation changes around her few friends, and may possibly kill one of them with it.
Another dose of Japanese animated movie from Studio Madhouse, in the tradition of a Hayao Miyasaki-like adventure, it is still quite an enjoyable ride as we see how the girl does her time-jump with different scenarios but ended up with time-tampering flaws...and a neat high school student love (well like some usual anime flicks do) growing in on the part of the story.
Very good story lines and fantastic twist. love japan animation =)
