Dreambox 500s failing

I have recently installed a dreambox at home, which unfortunately isnt working, i have tested the same dreambox at a friends place with my own equipment and it worked perfectly. It is really strange since my equipment works in his house but not in mine, the only difference between our internet connection is speed , he has 1mbs and i have 4mbps...

I have tried testing my DB connection to the router, it suffers from a lot of packet loss, ping results are usually 70-100% packet loss. Does anyone have suggestions?

usually there are 2 led on the link port are they lighting when you connect the cable?

try changing the cable also make sure ur using a crossover cable.

i tried disabling firewall, placing the dreambox in the routers DMZ, yet it didn't fix the problem.

try and disable the firewall or add ur dream box IP address to ur firewall as trusted zone.
