NOC - TRANSFER

Can anyone give me some advice? I am currently working for an employer here in Qatar for 2 months now. But i dont think that i have a good future in the company, so i want to transfer to another company. Here are my questions; Can i resign even if i havent finish my probationary period of 90 days? If so do i have to pay anything with my employer(visa, ticket, medical) because my residence permit is now being processed ( i finished med, fingerprint)? If another company wants to hire me can this new employer help me get an NOC from my current employer? Please enlighten me about transfer and NOC and resignation, thank you?

Thank you very much for all your inputs, ive already learned from my company that it is their policy not to give NOC. i have also learned that even though i havent completed my 90 days probationary period they will allow me to resign and they will not fine me or pay any penalty except for the ticket that i have to shoulder (which for me is not a problem).

Now can somebody explain this to me, I have undergone medical and fingerprinting how long will it take before the residence visa (Labor ID) is released. What about the single entry visa that they put on the passport that says work visa, validity 6 months but duration of stay 3 months, does this mean that it is a temporary or visit visa and when i go home and consumed the 3 months i can go back to Qatar without the NOC since they havent issued a residence permit and work visa yet.

Your inputs will be very much appreciated, I know there are lots out there on a similar situation and these answers will help them in some way to resolve their problems. Thanks!!!

adjascent to the question...if in case the EMPLOYER has no objection whatsoever to issue NOC,is there any STANDARD FORMAT being followed? Is this fully coming from the employer in official letterhead? signed and stamped or we have official form to be filled up from the ministry ( immigration )? In English? Arabic? or Both? Or if fully coming from employer has it to be attested or authenticated by the immigration? HOw is it work? Thanks.

The first thing is the NOC from your current sponsor, will you be able to get it...

If the resident permit is not yet stamped in your passport, there are chances that you can transfer your sponsorship to another sponsor (any time), subject to NOC from the current sponsor.

It varies from employer to employer.

But as a general rule:

***Your current sponsor is under no obligation whatsoever to give you an NOC to change sponsor. It is entirely at their discretion.***

And you may find it exceedingly difficult to transfer sponsorship after just working for 90 days. Possibly your visa will get rejeted and you will be deported.

in my case, i was told by my employer to pay the amount of 10,000 riyals for NOC. Accdg to them, that QR10,000 represents all moving expenses they incurred in bringing me here in Doha even I already served 2 years.

In any case, you cant transfer your sponsorship before one year.

Rest is the same as the other fellow posted.

Check what was stipulated on your signed contract. NOC depends upon your employer if they want to release you or not, but basically since you're new i don't think they will give you unless you finished 2years. If you resign, you will bear the cost of the expenses the company paid for you including your residence visa.
