WORK PERMITS

If in any case someone was given an opportunity to work for Qatar Airways yet the company did not give a release.
Do you think since it is a government agency, he/she can still proceed with the application and work for the QA?
Anyone from QA can give me advice?

nzflyer, you really have to go along with your employer's directives on visas and RPs, I'm afraid. I understand you may not be comfortable with their change in story about when you will be bringing your family over but it's probably not a good idea to second-guess the process. It's complicated enough. It is not unusual to bring someone on a tourist visa and convert it to an RP.

Did you ask your current employer on the formality of why they cannot issue you an NOC? maybe you are not yet finish with your contract etc. Are you hire from Doha or from your home country? This issues might be helpful for you to know.

the issue here in qatar is all about release letter or NOC.

If you get it from current employer yes then you can change jobs.

If you don't get it thats it.

And as per the law in Qatar there is nothing written that states that the company/current employer is entitled to give you the release letter or NOC.

Sorry.

Im sorry if my board message was no that clear...

Just in case someone already working in a local company here in Qatar was given an opportunity to work for Qatar Airways - and no release was given by his/her current employer - do you think he/she can stil get the job at QA?

Hi,

Just excepted a job with QR, originally i was told that I could travel with my wife and 2 children on the commencement of my job.

Now QR state that I must travel alone first, the get residence permit and apply for wife and chldrens residence permit after they arrive on visitors visa?

does anyone know a process of allowing them in on a tourist visa on commencement of my job, then apply for residency permit?

It depends on the offer they provided and your current position. If it is such a big offer, (i dont think QA ll giv that much) yalla, join.

And as you said, never think of getting release from from them !
