Hi all,
5 weeks today and i'll be arriving in Doha, very excited! However, as the time gets closer I feel more confused as to what I need to bring! That's regarding clothes and anything else I might need! Any suggestions or advice greatly appreciated!

don't forget to bring your SENSE of HUMOUR with you. You'll need it in dealing with crazy drivers on the road, when dealing with sales persons at the shops/malls or your teaboy at the office :-)

But I find myself buying 2 can openers in one year. Either the handle breaks or the screw gets loosen up or the blade gets all dull and rusty (eekk...clostridium botulinum = lockjaw)

Now I buy canned goods with easy open tabs...hehehehe

A can opener? ;-P

seriously, You're coming over when Ramadan is about to start which means, you'll be working shorter hours and would have to cook your meals at home/accommodation as all establishments serving food won't be open until after the 6PM/breaking of their fast.

men's clothes?...your business suits or office attire. Unless you're picky, you could always buy what you need as there are shops/malls here.

OOOpsss...BTW, if you're taking medications or prefer a certain brand of medicine for colds, fever or flu...may I suggest you bring some with you. You can't buy antibiotics without prescriptions here.

Any other suggestions, guys?

Shame! You will be arriving during Ramadan. Not the best time to arrive. O well, bring as many packets of bacon as you can and Playboy magazines!

Err, Tucky, I don't want you to be tacky. Shorts are fine for schoolboys and the beach but not for everday wear. Besides, you'll get a second-degree burn on the backs of your legs if you try to get into a car and frostbite if you visit a mall or restaurant.
