Family Visa- PLEASE HELP

I having the same problem, I am a Telecoms Manager But My Visa is Electronic Technician. Recently I have spoke to our PRO and try to Change the Visa to Engineer. But they said required attested Engineering Degree Certificate .Again asked our PRO to change the Visa to atleast Supervisor.After all process while submitting in the immigration, Officer said Electronic Technician is More than Supervisor and why your changing to High to low they said. Any body know is it true?

I am a Diploma Holder in Electronics and communication Engineering and attessted in HRD and qatar embassy and MOFA in qatar as well also I have following Document

1. Marrige Certificate attested

2. My son's birth certificate attested

3. NOC Letter from company with 10 + salary

4. 6 Months Bank statement showing the same

5. Employment contract paper with Minstry attested

6. Rental agreement without Municipal attested

7. Copy of my wife & son current Visit Visa and all passport copies and my QID copy.

I have applied Last time in 2010 and it got Rejected and I had one interview and the captain asked me three qusetion

1. what is your salary

2. What is your Position

3. What is your Education

I said the same and again it got Rejected. twice brought my family in Visit Visa and i trying to change to Family Visa. every time there are some new Rules are coming in for Last three.

Can any one please advise me. Apart form the above Documents What else I need to get change the Visit Visa to family Visa.I Really worried lot Req. this.

you go to immigration and tell them that you want to transfer them from visit visa to Resident permit (Talab Tahweel) ..

(Talab Tahweel) means transfere application .. u need first to fill an application .. get a copy of all the passports .. and that's it ..

you will pay 500 per head ..

I had the meeting with Lagna on the 26th August 2009 and on the 27th i received the approval for the visa for my wife and kid..

I went with the Qatari Sponsor but they didnt allow him in and he had to stand out. During the meeting i explained my concern on the visa approval and showed my qualifications and salary details.. After the meeting the captain asked me to check after 4 days.. The following day the visa was approved..

Now my question is .. my wife and kid has come on the visit visa and now that the resident visa is issued .. how do you transfer them to the resident visa from the visit visa!!

Is there any process to do this..

my brother has thesame problem. the Visa that was issued to him due to unavailability of visa is driver's visa but he is an engineer. The PRO has informed him that changing of position of a visa is only possible if the current visa is cancelled and a new visa will be issued.

As per my PRO its not the desgination. .. we went together to the labour office and asked the reason for non approval. .. to my surprise.. the person sitting there said.. " I dont know".. and then she gave me a date of 26th of August to meet with the Captain..

I had booked tickets for my wife and my baby on the 14th August..

I wanted to prepone my meeeting with the captain and when i went to change this date on the 2nd floor... i was informed by the person sitting there asking me to bring my family on visit visa and then meet with the captain on the 26th August..

From all this i am beginning to feel really puzzled and upset at the procedures ..

My gut feeling is that no one can bring in their family in Qatar coz no one actually knows the process of the approval.. as it turns out ther is no clear law on who can bring and who cant...and as far the eligibilty is concenred as far as i know.. i am completely eligible and yet they turned me down..

Anyways.. i have decided to move with the tide and see how things turn out.. I am going to apply for a visit visa and then try the process the residence visa for my family on the 26th August after meeting with the captain. if everything goes well..

u need to be prepared to the surprise that it's fckn difficult or may be near to impossible to change "fenny electroniaat" electronic technician to a Manager ..

It's easier in my case to go from up to down .. but not from down to up ...

So just be prepared if the application was refused .. cuz i have been struggling in my case for almost a year now ..

no ofcourse .. i did not change my designation .. it's an Engineer .. and it has many benefits .. just like going to other gcc countries and get a visa upon my arrival .. so why should i gave it up ..

I did it the wrong way .. I bought a Visa for her ..

I shall ask the sponsor to do the change in designation which i have done already and he will start the process from tomorrow.. .. but .. is there anything that i need to be prepared with . it would be great if anyone can outline the process to change the designation on the visa..

From all the discussions, i understand here that the designation is the only hinderence in me getting a family visa..

be the one to do it.

You should ask your sponsor to change it to your real position. It will take time depending on your company...

unless ur job description in ur rp is changed they will keep refusing it ..

I have the same prob. with my wife's Visa ..

My rp says "Archt. Engineer" and the salary certificate from the company is "Sales Man"

bcuz of the difference in job it was refused .. even i tried to undergo the LAJNA for 3 times .. and still it was refused ..

If all ur trials fails .. get her on a family visit visa for 6 months .. find her a job n let them sponsor her ..

or buy a Visa for her for some thousands .. and that's it ..

All ways goes to Rome ..

how do i get the lajnaa.. do i have to visit the Ministry of Labour office.. to get this done..

Yes i did ask my GM to change the job position to which he said that he will do it within a weeks time..

dont depend or your PRO as mandi said go and take appointment from {lajnaa } this may work out

the reason for visa rejection.It happened to my husbands company ,one of the guys wife visa application was rejected because of the jobposition and what the company did was to have it change and applied for another visa again.

Can you get an interview? Usually that does the trick.

A safe route is to get your designation upgraded on the visa.

Btw, i feel that govt should impose penalties on companies using wrong designation. There is no use of having the designation on the rp if it is to be mis-used in any case by companies.

where did u applied ur wive's visa? the place near the airport?
