could anyone tell me about the Colosseum Compound for Rasgas employees... DOH signed contract and awaiting visas.... should be there in the new school year.. Also would it be suitable for my 2 pet cats who are mostly indoor as well... would appreciate any help on this matter.
Hi I've accepted an offer from RasGas and will hopefully be moving to Qatar in the next month or so. I was told that housing is "provided" does that mean it is provided for free or do we have to pay for it ? I have so far assumed that provided means free of charge. I know this may seem like I'm playing with language a little but it something that just occurred to me and one should never assume anything, especially when moving a quarter of the way around the world. Thanks for any help.
I'm staying there from for more than 1 yr..Muaither area..
There are 90 villa's here..around 75% occupied now..Club house has good swimming pool, gym, tennis,squash..
It has 4BR+maid room ..1 small BR at ground floor + 3 BR upstair..quite small if comparing other RG's villa..but enough for small family..anyway the main BR quite roomy (5.5x5.5m with attached bathroom..)
5 minutes drive to Villagio and Hyatt Plaza ..10 minutes to Landmark..and just 400-500 meters to shopping complex (3 supermarket, McD,KFC,Takeaway, barbers, car wash, refreshments, etc)
anyway, where are u come from? Which dept/section will u join?
Thanks for that... I have lived in Qatar before.. Al Bayyan for a few weeks then in Dukhan for 2 and half years.. so know what they generally look like... just wanted to see them if possible.. anyhow hope this one has a little bit of a garden... will wait and see.
No, I dont know anyone who has pics uploaded, so sorry.
But a villa in Qatar in general will be boxy looking. It shall have a porch, a backyard (if you're lucky :) ), 1 room downstairs, the kitchen of course, the main hall downstairs. Upstairs will be the rooms and a living room as well. All air-conditioned, no worries about that. Most or all rooms with adjacent bathroom.
From discussions with friends, I was told it has more than 40 villas in the compound, a few selections available with 3 bedrooms and 4 bedroom villas. There is a clubhouse facility with pool etc. It is also close to Villagio shopping mall.
Qatar's winter months are brimming with unmissable experiences, from the AFC Asian Cup 2023 to the World Aquatics Championships Doha 2024 and a variety of outdoor adventures and cultural delights.
