Try scicology, create fear, give false promises but not to the extend of torture. Sometime mentality of a child at this age is comfortable where he is and not willing to accept change.

Rinku, seriously, how long can they keep him at home alone...gotta find something out .... I feel these are jzz the basic steps for him to be bolder in the days to come..take him to school and let him deal with it . There's nothing wrong in that, In fact u wil be helping him, then

Frankly Rinku...

If a parent has no control over his/her 4 year old, maybe the parent needs to reconsider some approaches in bringing up the little bugger.

Or, a psychologist.

How young is the son? You are not tellin anything bout it.Kindergarten, elementary grade or high school?

For some pre-schooler,it's just normal to them in the beginning to be scared especially they were not being taught the need why everyone needs to go to school..For a pre-schooler,mother should give them company in the school for few days in the school coz some were experiencing anxiety to strangers giving them assurance that you are just outside the classrum in times they need anything.Following days, just drop them in the school tellin them that teachers are there for them always attend to them that you gave them your mobile number so that they can reach you at ease if problems arises...these were not enough but somehow can help u guys..

he should be happy with school, there must be something happened at school, ask his teacher what is the problem and try to accompany him for 1 or 2 days.

Its normal that kids dont want tó go to school daily; I mean most of ém . But I juz wonder y did they let him go on with is choice? Does this mean that 'KID' is taking the decision , not the 'PARENTS'!!? May be we need to talk with them....

What kind of parent has to even ask such a question?

I raised 2 kids and never had to ask what to do if one of them didn't want to go to school. They didn't have a choice and they knew who the parent was.
