I think his point is he use to afford a flat worth 1000 5 years ago were he was living here with his family but the rents has gone up tremendously that he cannot afford to have his family here with him anymore due to the rents price hike.

sorry my friend, you don't have a choice but to send your family back home coz rents here has gone high faster than our increments.

QS's point is valid.

If you get married knowing you don't have the financial means to support your family, that is hardly the fault of a Qatari landlord.

It's like a poor person buying a big car and not being able to afford petrol, and then complaining about it.

Live within your means.

deedee, ok, fine with me...then not to complain!...

the guy is married, he earns a bit more than 1000 bucks a month, he knew what he is doing, why to complain? ... i mean his situation has nothing to do with the rents in Doha...

nowhere in the world he would get a '3 room family house' with such salary.. literally nowhere

I think even in the poorest African country your income should be a bit higher than 1000 bucks in order to have a '3room family’ hut..

That's not really a valid argument (age). If we all waited until we are financially secure, hardly anyone would get married.

PS I got married at 22, husband was 23, still in college. We lived on almost nothing and guess what, we have made it so far--almost 23 years now!

well.. 4000 is not enough to live with the FAMILY anywhere in the world, not only in Doha.

That's why the government is not allowed to sponsor your family unless your salary is at least 7500 before the accommodation.

your profile sais that you are 18-25.. why to get married at this age in the first place, since you cannot provide a basic support to your family??
