My husband and I are considering to come and live in Qatar. We've a 16 year old a 14yr. old(both boys) and our daughter who is 9.What kind of wages should one expect or accept before taking the plunge? (to Qatar)I'm a Dutch national my hubby is Algerian so it is all new for us . Can anyone out there give us advice?We're also thinking it might be good for an increase in our islamic knowledge. Being muslims ourselves.What kind of life can my 16 and 14 year old sons expect? Which schools to attend etc..Also for my daughter?Last but not least what there for entertainment,parks for us etc...?

experience. You really haven't given any information about those factors, so no one can really tell you much. But Novita's advice is a good starting place.

decide to move to Qatar. There are sponsorship laws here and you really need to have an offer/job in place before you come. It is expensive to live here and so you need to be making more than in your home country. As Novita said take some time and search through all the threads. Look at the schools, the housing, and everything on this site. It can teach you a lot about the country. Good luck.
Entertainment is limited but at least it is reasonably safe compared to most countries.
As for wages that is down to you. Look what you are making now and decide if its worth coming. A 3/4 bed villa in a nice part of town will set you back 13 - 16K
Make sure the company who hire your husband paying the housing, schooling, medical, flight back to the home country once a year. Thats the usual perks for expat package.
