Hiring a driver

By Tyler Durden

Hi,

When I first arrive in Doha I have been told that both the traffic and standard of driving are crazy. I have been advised to hire a driver for the first month until I get used to the roads.

Does anyone know how much this is likely to cost me?

cheers,

Hi Tyler,

Did you manage to hire a driver ? I will be arriving in Doha Saturday 14th Nov & like the idea of a driver.

oh u mean independet driver.....

they r everywhere....u can check them on the newspapers, notice board in some malls (mostly in family food center), or sometimes some driver in some hotel in doha, or ask some ppl in ur work place or ur neighbourhood, sure they might know someone.....

but like i told u earlier, the price they offer is different from one to other, the destination, the timing, the type of car u want......

but also there are some agencies provide tht but am not sure about the price cos might b even more expensive than independent one.....

but u dont have to b scared tyler...the traffic is the one u should b afraid off hehehe.........

I won't have space in my appartment for a driver- Just want someone to drive me to work in the morning and pick me up at night and then maybe run me to the shops.

600 QR sounds ok. Is that for a month?? How would I go about getting a driver? Are there agencies?
