The medical tests are compulsary for everyone entering Qatar. Hep B is not a virus that you take medication for and it dissapears! This is a life long illness that can only be maintained that is why the laws are so strict.
You will not pass Medical so don't take big risk in your life
you should be screened again while you are still there and get medication while there. Do not come here when you still have doubts of your health, because before giving an RP for ALL the workers, regardless of the position or work, ALL will go to the health commission for medical, and ALL will be screened. If you will not pass, you will be forced to go back to your point of origin.
I have known several friends who went back shortly after their medical failed. All of them repeated their tests, but still failed. Now they are back in the Philippines, sadly, some still have debts to pay.
While it is true that there is a promising future for career oriented people here in Qatar, specially for a civil engineer like you, that promising future will never realize unless you are really fit to work.
I hope this helped... thanks and Good luck!
specifically what was the result of your blood test that showed you had hepa b? do you have the virus or just antibodies?
if you are still out of Qatar, go for medical treatment first, its a risk coming here if you have it, since medical commission will declined the approval of your medical report if they found out that you still have this desease.
You will have to undergo a medical test it if you apply for a work permit regardless of the type of work. This medical test is the same for everyone.
