Hi

I am going on a short trip to Qatar, Doha.

I may have tuesdag June 23 free for anything... So what can I do?

  • I am into snorkeling (cannot dive) if there is a chance of seeing turtles
  • I'd like to go on a Big Game Fishing trip - and catch a big fish!!!
  • Never tried a jetski/seadoo - perhaps I can rent one?
  • So - any ideas? Is it possible to do some of the things I like? Or any other suggestions? Is there a MUST see/do in Doha?

    "Action" preferred over "culture" ;-)

you check the threads on sightseeing. Lots of good suggestions there.

Snorkeling---not really good here. I have only seen turtles 2x in 5+ years.

Big game fishing--also not that great.

Yes, you can rent a jetski/seadoo. Major hotels have rentals. You can check with the Sheraton & the Diplomatic Club. It usually runs about 200QR for an hour of rental. It is hot, but we went out on our boat last weekend. Just make sure you have some shade and a lot of cold water to drink. The ocean temperature is still refreshing this time of year.

Although you don't like culture, I really do suggest the Museum of Islamic Arts. Also Souq Waqif is a MUST SEE. Lots of good restaraunts there as well.
