Bringing Family Vacation Pictures/Movies and DVDs
Hi
We are moving to Doha soon, and would like to bring with us our family photos and movies which might include us on the beach in swimming suites, or children playing naked when they were babies. Is it a problem to bring this in?
The question is silly but still felt I need to ask for an advice.
Thank you,
I don't think any body will ask you about your own photos, no body will search through your private things, at least this is my experience here after 8 years
good luck in doha, hope you will enjoy life in doha
IF YOU ARE BRINGING THESE CD WITH YOU, THEN NO PROBLEM, BUT, IF YOU PARCEL THESE CD THROUGH CARGO, THEN THEY WILL TAKE THIS FOR A SPECIAL SCAN, THEN THEY WILL REALEASE AFTER CHECKING (AFTER 2WEEKS)
Thanks to everybody on the advice. I got a permanent position in Op. Engineering with RasGas (is anyone here working with RG or on the site?)
We are definitively looking forward to the move.
The only problem is: we heard that Canadian School where we enrolled both of our kids just lost 8 teachers... Any opinions or info on this and likelihood the teachers will be found by September?
No problem at all,no 1 will open ur personal data
shouldnt be a problem at all !
baldrick2dogs ,
Thanks for the advice. That would be helpful.
Roots ... Even better, join the Frequent flyer program of the airline you are travelling with. You can pre assign your seat and meal and get extra luggage allowance :o)
Come on!! Nobody will do anything like. When I moved from Canada last month, Immigration did not even bother to ask me anything about luggages. You will be okay. Make sure you bring lots of summer clothings, favorite swimming costume for kids. BTW, what company you are joining? Congratulations. Welcome to Doha.
One more small opinion, if you have preference with certain kind of meals (e.g. Vegetarian, kosher, Halal), please make sure you do that by yourself. If you ask your HR representative, most likely he/she will forget right away. From Toronto to London, I was starving. :)
Not a problem
no problems with that.
