Just for a little more clarification, yes there is a difference between a saloon and a truck...the plates are different and a truck is "privtate transportation" a car is "private vehicle" this makes a big difference if you are looking on the MOI site for traffic violations, if you are not careful and don't know the difference you may be paying someone else's fine.

I can answer this question with reasonable authority. Yes you can. I say this based on the fact that I have a Chevy Silverado registered under my name.

THERE ARE DIFFERENT CONDITIONS THAT EXPAT OWN TRUCKS OR OTHER BUSINESS EQUIPMENTS:

- THE EXPAT CAN OWN A TRUCK THROUGH HIS NAME BUT CANT WORK INSIDE QATAR

- IF YOU WANT TO HAVE A BUS JUST REGISTER IT BY NAME OF COMPANY FOR SOME ONE YOU KNOW AND TRUST

THANKS
