... in case I want to visit an especialist here in Qatar.
How it works?
I have to get a medical card, isnt it?
In Hamad hospital?
I can choose directly the specialist? or I have to go to general medicine and from there they will forward me?

Is the medical level reliable?
Lower your expectation, and you might not get dissappointed i.e. otho/opthalmoscope in the "real world" should be used with their "one time use" black plastic guards--one use and discard. Centrifuges should have a quarterly check for varying speed accuracy by a credible organization that utilizes calibrated testing medical device to check if the unit is performing to its published characteristics--so the medical level is just.....great, awesome (pants on fire!)
you can see a specialist(medicine/ortho/surgical???) in hamad ER if your case can be classified under emergency... otherwise, you will be directed to the out patient department- to the department where your "problem" can be seen...you can choose the specific specialist if his schedule permits it...you are lucky if the appointment time and date is not "months" from now....
get a health card/insurance...you never know when u might need it.. browse on the topics about health issues here (QL) and u will find significant answers...
