7th Diplomatic Charity Bazaar - Sneak Peek

Every Sunday my son have sailing lesson at the Intercontinental Hotel. Today on the way home I dropped by at Qatar Exhibition Centre to have a look at the bazaar.

When I arrived it wasnt many people around. Maybe because it was only first day, or maybe because not being advertise much.

I start from the Thai Embassy stand, they selling orchid bouqet in various colour, and also have a charity foot massage. You pay QR 50 for 20 mins foot massage.

Next door was Japanese Embassy stand, they having calligraphy for QR 7 and also selling some souvenirs.

Indonesian Embassy selling some Batik, typical Indonesian souvenirs and some Indonesian snacks.

The rest of the embassies basically selling similar stuffs typical of each own country.

What suprises me, most of the Ambassadors Wives are actually looking after the stand themself with the assistance of their staffs.

Besides the embassies, there are also stands selling abaya, arabic perfumeries and dresses.

My son was disappointed because last year we bought a remote control car from chinese embassy stand. He expecting the same this year, but there were no children toys to be seen.

Shopping with kid in tow is no fun so I am going back there on my own either tomorrow or on the last day.

oi Alexa, dont think I will go again :( have doctor appointment tomorrow and then after school son have football ...

If the lady you spoke to is a lady with short hair, most probably thats the ambassador wife. She is very nice and very down to earth.

It seems you going to get to Vietnam before us lol ...
