QPO - 18th May 09 from novita77 on Vimeo.

Last night was the only public concert QPO had for this month. They played works from Johannes Brahms - Academic Festival Overture op.80, Robert Schumann - Cello Concerto in A Minor op.129 and the last one was from Gustav Mahler - Symphony no 1.op. 10 in D Major.

First one was allright, second one was 'depressing' for me. Song in 'Minor' is most of the time is rather depressing. Jaka Stadler as Principal Cellist was impressive though, very talented musician.

My favourite is the last one, very uplifting. The symphony consist of 4 movement. And the composer call the whole piece "Titan".

QPO will have their rehearsal open for the public on the 21st of May from 14hr to 18hr and its free. So if you want to have a peek and want to know what Philharmonic Orchestra is do drop by at aspire building.

If you want, the Hall is open and the rehearsal is free for the audience.

But be carreful with mobile phone and keep a "religious silence".

In june there are 4 concerts with arabic music, symphony (Pastorale of Beethoveen), concerto, film music (Star Wars), etc... Wonderful Programs
