How to get Internet and the best deal

What must I have when if I visit QTEL to get the Internet in my home? Is Qtel the best service? Are they the only option? I will take wireless or dsl (doesn't matter to me). WHich is more expensive to install (wireless or DSL)? I am not interested in any Internet packages that include cable tv packages since I already have the tv services I want. Thanks for your help.

forgot to mention you'll need your Qatari Id card with you :) Visit the Qtel branch nearest to your home or just go to the main branch in Al Saad. dont forget to take the online bill viewing option thing too where you can see your monthly bills, get them printed out whenever and even pay your bills online :D

HI, You will need to apply for a telephone no. first where local calls are free of charge and it will cost you a monthly rent of 33 riyals. Then along with that you may apply for adsl internet connection there are 3 options 1mb for 200 riyals, 2mb for 300 riyals and i think now its 3 or 4mb for 400 riyals not sure on the last option since it was recently upgraded. You can opt for the 1mb connection as its more than enough for web browsing and downloading movies if your into that.

when you apply for the internet tell them you want the wireless router as that is provided by Q-tel when they come to install the phone and get u connected to the internet. With that you can use a wired or wireless connection.
