Does anyone experience this problem in Al Ahli Hospital?

Do you know where to submit feedback or comments or complaints about Al Ahli Hospital? The problem is this: I was asked to do some laboratory test and they told me that they will call me if those test are covered by my insurance. 3 weeks have past and I still haven't receive any confirmation from them so I try to call them for follow up. First I try the numbers they gave me and it takes 4 to 5 times try for someone to pick up the phone and when I told them my concern they transferred me to a different phone line and again it took 5 minutes for someone to answer and so on.... I've been doing this for 1 week and they keep on transferring the call but they are NOT answering my query.Until I got mad and told the receptionist who answered the call that it's been 1 week since I'm contacting them and until now I haven't receive any answer and I told her that I will not accept any transfer call anymore so she said that she will call me back on my mobile for the updates. They took my name and my insurance health card, that was 3 days ago and until now they haven't call me back. The doctor told me to do the test a day before my next appointment and my next appointment is 4 days from now so I still don't know if I'm gonna pay those lab test. Another issue that I would like to raise is when my doctor told me to do an URGENT ultrasound meaning she wants me to do it that day or the following day but the Arabic receptionist said they don't have available schedule for me for those days so she had me scheduled after 1 month. The doctor asked me why I didn't do the URGENT ultrasound, I told her because they don't want to give me schedule and she said said " yes but I put a note that it's urgent " and I told her I insisted but the attendant said THEY CANNOT SCHEDULE me so the doctor just shake her head. My doctor is great and I have nothing against Al Ahli Hospital and I think it's the best hospital in Doha but if their services especially customer service is like this then maybe it needs to be raise on their appropriate department. Every patient needs to be treated well regardless of nationality and regardless whether you are paying cash or under health insurance.

Just for the information. After 4 years from my original comment, still the administration / customer care / call centre are same. No improvement at all.

I had given negative comments about Al Ahli Hospital before on their appointment system and front office services. Those comments are true. HOWEVER please note that their in-patient services are EXCELLENT! My wife delivered our second baby there and the doctor was Dr. Sujatha and she was excellent and also all the supporting staffs and facilities inside are excellent although they have very poor customer service and administration in front office and poor appointment system.

I also have same bad experience with Al Ahali Hospital. They gave us appointment at 6:45pm but doctor attended us only around 9pm. Their customer service (Filifina mafia) ladies do not care patients. Doctor gave us schedule to follow up with her but the appointment desk said they cannot give those days. Their administration is very bad. Don't go to that hospital. But I am not sure where to go. My wife is about to deliver a baby but I am not choosing Hamad Hospital because they don't allow me to visit wife when she is hospitalized. Heard Al Emadi Hospital is better..will c..

This is the problem with this hospital, I went through the same situation, customers service is the wastage of positions 100% crape, The best thing is to do as I understand to say good bye this crape hospital, I,m sure you can have good services in other private hospitals around Doha, and Also I suggest to the owener of Hospital to replace the Whole Administartion, if not then he should think to open Coffee shop raher then hospital, any way I'm suggesting to friends of mine to look around other hospitals, certainly NO one can wait for hrs even after you have Doc appointmennts,

I think your insurance company needs to clarify to you directly what you are entitled for in your policy. If you rely on hospital staff you may never get the correct answer.

I believe your doctor was right, bcoz when she put URGENT on ur request form then it means u can get ur test done instantly without any appointment. It was all that Receptionist's fault. If it happens again in future, immediately talk to ur Doctor then she will handle them.

Secondly, it's just a matter of phone call to confirm either ur insurance company covers ur tests or not. You need to talk to admin section, they will give a phone call to ur insurance co in doha and get the confirmation, thats all. Again u r mislead by receptionists.

I have experienced above both cases in Ahli. All the RECEPTIONISTS in Ahli are really disgusting and have attitude problem.

Best way to tackle such kind of problems is to contact with your company doctor and insurance company. If anyone on their panel is not doing well. Always call them ist before the hospital. Best of luck.

Personally I had a very bad bad experience with Al-Ahli. You can contact their public relation officer to lodge a complaint. They do have a form like a survey form that you can fill up. The problem is, you will submit the form at their customer service counter, no special box to ensure efficiency or privacy.

My experience was, one of the lady at the counter will just take the form from you and put aside at her desk. For my case I actually took back the form because I have no confident that my complaint will end in the right hand but instead my particular and complaint might just get circulate around as a joke of the day for pass time.

About the ultrasound, yes, the doctor will ask you to go back with your ultrasound in your next visit but the date you get to do the ultrasound will be later than your next appointment with your doctor there.

This is Al-Ahli Hospital and welcome to Al-Ahli Hospital, a place it claims that you can experience 'love'!!
