Ya I can see the total scores, but not the specific criteria scores.
And btw Perth pisses all over Sydney AND Melbourne.
The 2009 and 2008 scores are on the right hand side columns following each city. They use New York which is assigned an index of 100, as a base reference.
For a complete list you might be able to get it from the Mercer website but I think you have to pay.
Bollox sydney pisses all over melbourne - sydney has the lot, melbourne is more european but less glam than sydney.
Where is Doha?
I would be interested to see the complete list, rather than just the top 50, and each country's score for each critera. Is it available anywhere?
Crap!!!! People will have different tastes and priorities which decides their life is good or bad.

How come they missed Doha?!
O_o
I think they (Mercer) assigned different weighting factor for each criteria. It looks like climate (Natural Environment) is at the bottom of the list.
Looking at the criteria, if Doha wishes to be listed at the top, it needs to take a hard look particularly at its banking services, standard and availability of international schools, housing, and Socio-cultural environment. As it is, I think it fails miserably.
Calgary at 26, have these people every been to Alberta!! When it kicking in - 45C, I'd rather be in London at theater rather than wondering if I will be able to get out of my house for 3 days because of the snow...
and what no Doha. No votes for the capital of culture!
Good Question. Didn't like the way it lokked in lower case
Samael, samael, SaMaEl
i originally wanted SA(V)ÆL, but it wasn't aloud.
So i am stuck with my naming being screamed at everyone.

The criteria is at the top of the article.
-Political and social environment (political stability, crime, law enforcement, etc)
-Economic environment (currency exchange regulations, banking services, etc)
-Socio-cultural environment (censorship, limitations on personal freedom, etc)
-Health and sanitation (medical supplies and services, infectious diseases, sewage, waste disposal, air pollution, etc)
-Schools and education (standard and availability of international schools, etc)
-Public services and transportation (electricity, water, public transport, traffic congestion, etc)
-Recreation (restaurants, theatres, cinemas, sports and leisure, etc)
-Consumer goods (availability of food/daily consumption items, cars, etc)
-Housing (housing, household appliances, furniture, maintenance services, etc)
-Natural environment (climate, record of natural disasters)
Oh yeah, sorry to bother, SAMAEL.(Why is your name so loud?)
what a strange sorting with many missing cities in.thats relative issue and changes person to person.at least not fitting me.

Attitudes are more important than facts...
But it was a 'Quality' earthquake

"40 KOBE JAPAN". What a surprise. Wasn't that city haunted by a devastating earthquake a few years ago?
I wonder what criteria they used. Melbourne is much better than Sydney
