why do people take bank loans? I have Indian colleagues who have taken bank loans for up to 5 years of installments for brand new cars.
I'm happy to buy an older car for cash but am not so cool as these guys!
Never borrow more than you can repay quickly. This is Qatar, you cannot decide how long you will stay here, others decide that. Don't carry on as though all will be well for the next 5 years, it won't! But however to those sympathising with the banks I would say that any bank offering loans of up to 7 years full salary as a loan to people who may spend the money on a car, a holiday, property or shares which have no guaranteed resale value have a huge responsibility here also. All will suffer and so should banks for irresponsible lending.
Banks have started to pursue people in their home countries if they do not pay their loans.
Just because you've left Qatar doesn't mean that Qatari banks and Qatari police will have no way to get a hold of you to recover their (not your) money.
You can try and leave, but it will be dangerous, and it will catch up with you eventually.
Your loan might have been guaranteed by your previous employer. I believe paying the bank is their responsibility now. Read your agreement with the bank, i think it's written there.
haliparot, the best way to do is go to the bank and tell them your situation and theres no way you can pay your loan till you find another job.so dont waste time now find a suitable job for you.i know some who are terminated and given NOC by the grace of god they've find another job and worth because they're offered higher than their old company..........ok pare.
Here are your chances....if your termination was immediate, and the company already settled for your Exit (permit and plane ticket)...you can go out within that day...or probably the next day. Nothing will happen, you will not be stopped in the airport. But upon termination...your company or the sponsor who has given you the standard bank letter to make the loan, will notify the bank...it is an SOP for them to notify the bank. The bank will then file a hold point for you...or they will file a case against you in the court or the city prosecutor. Then you will be blacklisted online. If ever that you will enter in Qatar again or you will be hired by a new company here....there will be no problem or any hassle upon entering....but you will not be allowed to go out of Qatar anymore due to the filed civil case against you. And that will be the start of your misserable life.
I suggest, if you still have the time....talk to the bank. They will cooperate and they will assist you. Find a new job first, then discuss to the new company about your loan, the only need is a new letter from the new employer.
thats god but i would like to inform u that Banks money belongs to all ppl who put it there, so its unfair to take it and leave, u have to respect urself and do wat good friends wrote u here, were r u going to go from god when u take wats not urs, my regards.
i had a friend who had just terminated from his job.. he had no problem in exiting from the airport even if he had a loan... you should exit within a week so that the bank cannot trace you....
The NOC only gives you the chance to comeback if another job is offered but as per the loan it will have to be settled before leaving the country, otherwise you won't be alloewed to exit or even could get detained by Police dept in the airport.
Visualize a way to clear the loan...then make a way to exit!!

I can't believe
people would be suggesting that he skip out on his loan. THAT IS ROBBERY! Do the right thing. You will be blessed for it.
as long as you keep on paying your monthly dues to the bank it wont be a problem.
