Is this really going down? I know they've been advertising a "beach party" every friday & saturday from 5-9, but I'm still waiting for it to happen even once.

I'm not around for this event but are there any subsequent ones planned?

Salah85, yes, Fedde Le Grand was ill, cancelling Doha and Beirut..

Unfortunately Fedde was sick, this cannot be helped by anyone being informed on the evening before, very late in the evening. In the space of 8 hours, we managed to replace Fedde with The Thrillseekers, flying him over from london, ranked at 45 in the dj mag's top 100 DJs...

The tickets where also reduced from 250 to 150, we also put notices up on the door with an official statement by Fedde Le Grands managment, i don't think we could have done more to save the night, it was still a good night, only 725 people made it to the event, we where expecting double that.

In 4 years and over 70 top international DJs, we have never let anyone down, Fedde is the first to cancel, it does happen in the entertainment business, we are trying to get a NEW date for Fedde as he is very unhappy also and really dissapointed that he had to let his fans down in Doha and he cannot help being ill...

Fedde was sick, not our fault, not feddes fault, not anyone's fault. It's one of those unfortunate things that happens, and again, in 4 years and 70 international DJs, its a first, Beirut got hit with this also, so its no only Doha who where disappointed by his illness...

The BEACHFEST is a brand new concept, the sound of summer is here, giving that great summer vibe with the music to match, not only will it feature live vocals, Djs, percussion, fire artists, it will also lead to a few surprises on a few firsts for Doha's entertainment scene.

We hope to see everyone at this event, the line up is fantastic as is the venue, its going to rock your socks off.
