while doing my research here to help a friend, i found this.

" Qatar will not accept a license that is issued by a different country from where your passport is from."

is it true? then how about expats with gcc license?

friend's case:

how about a Thai with US Driver's License?

a friend of mine had a US driving lisence and his passport is pakistani. he went to traffic poice dept in madina khalifa and they issued him qatari driving lisence if ur visa is not visit or tourist.

EVEN WITH GCC LICENS YOU HAVE A SPECIFIC TIME PERIOD TO DRIVE . MAY BE 3 MONTHS MAX . WITH INTERNATIONAL LICENSE IT IS 1 WEEK. YOU HAVE TO EITHER TRANSFER OR GET QATARI LICENS TO DRIVE
