anyone know ban not written in Labor Law?
Dear Sir,
Will you please give us all information related to what kind of ban on visa that applied in Qatar?
I have a related, he has been working in qatar in a company, he had been dismissed by the company due to he asked to take a leave to visit his country for a funeral. But the company decided to not using his skills any longer under article 51. His working visa validity is until april 2009, and already being stampped "cancelled" on his passport.
The question are: He stop the working agreement due the company itself, does he get ban by the country?
Because he didn't do anything related to any dispute, criminality or anything that needs to be banned from a country.
Please response to this e-mail immediately. Your kindly consideration is greatly appreciated.
Thank you and best regards,
Rita
Singaporeans are no excemptions. He/She can not enter Qatar even as a tourist without a NOC for 2 years
I thought article 51 was regarding the employee terminating his own contract because the employer did something wrong, not the company terminating it.
Anyway, I think mandi's right - without a NOC you can't work for another company in Qatar for 2 years, but I don't think it means an outright ban from the country (for Singaporean nationality at least).
Your reletive has no rights under Labour Law in Qatar. He has been banned for 2 years. simple as that.
Dear kind mandilulur who has spent lil time to answer my concern.
Mandilulur, which article of the Labor Law that mention about NOC and the 2 years? and may i know , is that article also works on the Termination Letter under article 51? I mean if only u do have much knowledge or u know some one who really expert bout it, will u kindly inform me ur e-mail address or his e-mail address so i would know what else to do to stand my relative rights.
Thank youuuuuuuuuuu,
rita
He should take his case to the public forum and out the company that treats people this way.
He is not "banned" but under Qatar labor law without an NOC he cannot work in Qatar for another 2 years.
