I am moving to Doha next month. My employer does not office health care benefits. Can anyone tell me if there is a plan that I can purchase like in the US? If not how is treatment handled if you are ill? And if you take a monthly prescription? I have been looking at the cost of living in Doha and it seems to be very expensive. Is this what I can expect with medical care as well? Any advice is helpful. Thank you.

I think you can purchase one for 100QR(30usd) per year for Hamad Hospital.(in case of any med emergency)

I used private DOHA clinic .The visits are anywere from 50 to 100 USD(appr)

The cost of living is expensive.
