I don't kite surf so don't know much about the gear I'm afraid. I don't think anywhere sells them in Doha, but I might be wrong. I've seen a few adverts for second hand stuff though.
Its wonderful. Went today to the north coast. A but difficult to find my way..good thing I had a 4 weel drive or would be still up there trying to get out of the sand. Seems there is a kite community..will find out :)

Obviously you need to be living/working near Furwarit in order to get there while it's still light in the evenings!

Lots of kite surfers in Qatar. Think they mainly go to Furwarit (sp?) beach, at weekends and sometimes in the evenings.

I wouldn't mind having a crack at that when I get to Qatar.
Might try and get a couple of lessons before I head out. I'd be interested to know what it's like out there too.
