British primaries: DESS or Doha College Primary School.
ASD is very good, but follows the US system.
DESS has better facilities than Doha College, but I preferred the staff I met at Doha College when I visited that school, so I sent my son there.
It's best to visit the schools and see which suits you. There are a few others that you might hear about. Park House, Cambridge, Compass. Visit them and see what you think, but most people would agree on Doha College, DESS and ASD as being good schools.
Qatar Academy is a popular choice, and has good facilities. It follows the IB curriculum.
The popular schools might be full for year beginning September 2009, but it might be worthwhile getting your name on waiting lists, as some people always leave over the summer and don't return.
Another thing to remember that all top Schools in Qatar are Acadamic Selective. If your Kids are bright then no problem to get into these schools otherwise you have to try someother school..Good Luck
Dess is the best British school around...it gives priority to British passports...then there is Doha College which is somehow an extension (for high school) of Dess then there is park HOuse.....these r the British schools...but the question is will yr kids get a place or not...i dont know if u could apply b4 you come over.

These are the best schools in my opinion;
1- American School of doha
2- Doha College
3- Park House English School
4- Qatar Academy
I may have forgotten a few good ones...
It depends who you ask - but from what i've heard you can't go wrong with those four.
I go to Doha College.
heh ok .. I was just kiddin there .. But Doha College or Qatar Academy are quite good schools and they follow the GCSE.
My kids are British.
That would be Pak Shama .. Why ? Because in there, we didn't need to study.
