We have created a group 'guzergah-e-khayal' to bring people of understanding together for the purpose to promote Urdu language and Urdu literature. Here is the link:

http://guzergah-e-khayal.groups.live.com/

The Obvious Purpose of this group is to serve Urdu and main aims are to:

- share writings of established poets and literary icons as well as the aspiring writers
- exchange views, hold intellectual discussions and share knowledge
- promote Urdu and Urdu literature reading
- provide a 'lush environment' for creativity and develop interest in literature

I would like to invite everyone who is concerned about the future of Urdu.

Let's revive Urdu!

You are right SPEED. It should have been better if I had created this thread in Pakistan Group. But no worries.. I have planned to mirror here every discussion that starts on 'guzergah-e-khayal'. I will use Pak forum for that.

I welcome you as 6th member and Omar the 7th.

Welcome nadinecheaib! Of course you can join. On the contrary I am happy to know that someone who does not speak Urdu is interested in Urdu. We will have most of our group postings in English with some Urdu using Roman script. I am sure you will find it interesting. You will move from few words to many words within no time.

Please join in.

Welcome ghazalz and blue_rose. Thank you so much for taking early initiative. I truly appreciate it.

This is the first time I am trying to run such group. I am certain there must be some faults in the construction of the online set-up which I feel can be glossed over for now. I need to refine it on a regular basis. I ask for more patience as the activity will not be too high at the founding stage. However we can make it more active with our posts. I welcome any ideas, suggestions and comments.

I think we should mirror every post of the group here on QL so to grab attention of greater community of Urdu lovers.
