Been wondering about this number for quite a while now, I have missed several calls from same numbers. I never hear my phone ring, though so I am assuming the call wasn't important since the caller didn't let the phone ring for longer.

So I just tossed it out as a wrong number. Thanks to this forum though! I was thinking of calling back if I didn't see this.

Once I returned call to Malaysia and hardly spoke not more than 3 minutes. Surprised to see my Qtel bill, charged me close to 200 Qatari Riyals.

I often received local missed calls, but when I called back they just hanged up when they heard the voice mail "collect calls" :(

Also one time I got a missed call from those callers outside Doha, and I know it was a spam. what I did, I kept ringing him too, giving him missed calls one ring at a time every few minutes....lolz I pissed him off, he never called again :D

My friend received the same missed call from Pakistan. It seems they are using different numbers. (in this case +923434745134 )They asked her to Transfer QR1000 from Western Union and immediately send the transfer code to him. :)

Today I got 2 miss calls from +923426592913. I got irritation after 2nd miss call. After 2nd miss call, i have called him. Then he is asking 2 lakhs rupees and talking some thing unnecessary. Immediately I cut my phone. After seeing these reviews I came to know that most of the people are getting like these calls. I don't know how they are getting our phone numbers. I came to know that +92 represents pakistan country code.

Don't try to call if you get miss calls from +923......... If you call, simply your money will be wasted.

though new sim but used numbers are recycled by qtel.... best option, just ignore...

'means fake' It's not from any bank, but using bank's name. I bought a new sim with my new cellphone...I'm receiving a genuine one too...

ghazalz, if you are receiving the bank balance from Qatar bank then the reason is that your mobile no was used earlier by someone who had the account in that bank. once the mobile no is expired qtel allots it to someone else (like you in this case) so the bank sends the bank balance alerts unknow of this switch....

so what you can do in this case is to inform the bank on this number change...

this happened in my case too...

I'm receiving this type of calls continuously from a Dubai number...I'm receiving a fake sms regularly from a bank 'Balance in your account............' Just Ignore Them!

Richierich the unknow number could be from someone you know, whois trying to get in touch with you over voip...so no harm to attend them. just a thought. cheers.

I've received several of these missed calls - to the point where I'll sit and wait for it to ring and "pounce" before they can disconnect - that way they have to pay the charges for the connected call. Probably not a whole lot of money but they don't call back.

if you are very curious to know the caller, use voip to call the number.... two reasons to choose voip.

1) call is dirt cheap

2) your identity is not revealed.

yes i got misscall from the same number afew days back..n i didnt bother to call him back

i try to avoid but i am worry if they can get through some source bcz during conversation i feel that they know about that i have some account in same bank. that why i very worry that may be they have some connection here with some one. and one question is more if all dohabank account holder have recieved this call this means they have get our numbers from here.

at that time i was sleeping,when i wakeup i see the miscall i got worry that may be someone try to call me but i not attend. after that i call on same number from net but they told me to call me from Qtel no. when i call they u have won 100000qr from QTeL. and we r from Qtel then i reply tht qtel should call me from qatar not from another country, but they say no prb if u wish give us ur id no and account no. then i reply that i donot have any account,they told me to open only Dohabank account and give us. but my Question is from all that if we give numbers they can do somefraud only knowing account no and id no?plz help me regarding this. thanks all of you.

He gave me a blank call so when i returned the call back he told me tat i wont 1Lakh Riyals and asked me to give my ID card and bank account details...

I told him to F*ck OFF ....!!
