Hi there, any know if there are any mobile phones available in Qatar that allow you to install Skype, and that work on Qtel?

In the UK we had 3G phones that you could load Skype on, although they blocked Skypeout...

unless u r in a wifi hotspot, it will turn out very expensive.

Qtel charges for 3g are very high.

OT:

Have N95 too, but when I'm in Qatar Fring only works using Wlan but not the G3 network.

In other ME countries the setup works fine over G3, so I concluded that Qtel had blocked the ports(?)

download fring.com, from your mobile through Wi-Fi and install it. skype,Gmail, yahoo msr all gets installed by default. only thing is ur mobile should have wi-fi facility and skype works only if ur mobile connected to internet. skype out calls works ok, even gmail voice chat too. it worked for me in N95, hope it should work for you too..good luck.
