Building collapses at Dubai Industrial City

A building at Dubai Industrial City (DI) collapsed this morning killing three people and seriously injuring another three.

The single-storey glass and aluminium factory, owned by an unnamed investor based at the site, fell down at 6.55am.

The exact cause of the collapse is not yet known, but it has been suggested that strong winds of up to 100kph and hail, which battered the emirate last night, were to blame.

The building was under construction and was 50% complete, a spokesman for DI said.

caused the collapsed report said. So, it must be so strong that it toppled down a huge construction! Question-how strong the foundations of these buildings in middle east in case natural calamities happen?
