German lessons

Hi all. I am looking to undertake German lessons for a couple of years in the hope of eventually finding work in Germany.

Apart from the Berlitz language school, has anyone here received German lessons from a private tutor here? If so, who do you recommend? And how much per lesson?

I realise this post is slightly off track, but any help would be greatly appreciated.

Start with the German Embassy. They alwasys have courses and can also help you find someone.
