I was walking yesterday at Villaggio mall with my family wearing shorts, when suddenly 2 Qatari guys & a mall guard approached me asking for my RP ID. The mall guard said that the 2 guy his with are CIDs, they were talking in their language which I don’t know what heck they were talking about, maybe out of this world or whatsoever. After the guard took my RP no., he explained to me the reason why then we walked away. So, I don’t know what’s this all about? I never heard about it.

Its good that once in while things like these happened. As the saying goes "WISE people learn from others mistake but fools learn from their own mistakes" So all people outhere, BE WISE enough to learn out of this situation.

Inputs had been expressed so get good judgement out of those ideas. In the multitude of counsellors there is safety. LEARN.......!!!!!!!!

Hi,

Not each & every mall. There had been a Incident couple of weeks back in Villagio. This happened because of this may be… what ever said, but it’s always good to respect Qatari culture as we are living here now. Back home walk N**e no worries.

Actually such skin-showing dressing is not welcomed anywhere in the world, other than discos & night bars...but no one objects it too unless it reach the height!! what were u wearing exactly btw?? =P

I dont know, y i feel like those two arab guys wanted to get closer to you & converse holding you near them, probably they just played the prank or else even if they ver CID, they just wanted to threaten you. LOL

@analiza,, white skins are treated VIP coz everyone likes to see it,, evn the cops..!! LOOOOOL

Shall...those white people are getting a VIP treatment in this country and NOBODY will give a Sh**t on what they are wearing...For all brown asian women (like me), we must not only act properly and speak properly, but also DRESS properly that's my advice!

Although there are rules to wear decent clothing in Qatart..go to Corniche you will see white skin females wearing sexy clothing and shorts for jogging..

I tell you something.....

> Who said that its been allowed..???

> from the day I arrived here ... its been banned.

> I don't know you people why you're still been doing it.

> I am a Filipino and a Christian, but I respect them by not doing what you did. Even in Souq, please don't wear that kind of dress.

> it is clearly stated to wear decent in the eyes of the local.

> to make the story short, follow what they said and everything will be peaceful

good luck
