Everyone D(r)ive to Hamad Aquatics...
I visited the Hamad Aquatic Centre today to watch the opening day of the FINA World Diving Series.
I was pleasently surprised to see many other people having similar ideas too. The gallery was not empty for a change. People were watching, cheering and generally having a good time...
The setting is plain brilliant. The electric blue of the pool, combined with with the shocking violet of the walls, combined with the sporadic clapping of the people, truly makes it an event worth watching.
The competition will be officially inaugurated today evening at 6. It goes on till Sunday evening 9pm. Dont miss it. I assure you it'll be worth the trip to Hamad Aquatic Centre, right behind Villaggio (And yes, there's abundant parking space available too!).
Could not go for closing ceremony. Heard from a friend that the closing ceremony was cool. Missed it. There's always a next time.
I hope everyone who went there enjoyed it. Till later.
Thanx wanderer. i'll b there 2nite.
I went to the center with my mother,we really enjoy and plan to go there today. From your picture,i can see you was sit inside the VIP area(on the oppsite of main audience area).May i have a similar pass as yours because i want to give it to my mother as her birthday gift. Can you help?
i visited the aquatic centre too,its simply electric worth going and its free and open to all...what else u want.
The semifinals are in the morning, starts at 10AM. The finals will be in the evening, starts at 6. It's a fantastic programme. And for a change, like Wanderer said, there's a huge turnout of spectators. Gives that warm, glowing, fuzzy feeling inside.
:P
