Is there a demand for Exercise/Fitness trainers in Qatar?

Hi everyone, how are all of you doing?

I hope better than some of us here in Greece. Times are hard and I'm thinking of coming to the UAE to work as a personal trainer.

Is this a fairly common job in Qatar? How much do personal trainers usually charge?

Thanks for any advice!

Fitness trainer

some ladies in my compound have a personal trainer. they pay him 100QR a day! I think that is very good pay. By the way that's 100qr each so he gets 300QR a day. For 2 hours work.

Most personal/fitness trainers here are from Asia and work for much lower wages than they could get in the West. They are certainly well qualified and experienced but their nationality invites salary discrimination (fairly common here in the GCC unfortunately).

The best places to work would be Aspire (which would probably require excellent credentials and possibly a universtity degree in kinesiology or physical education or similar - I don't know about that) and then the 5* hotels - most of whom have well qualified instructors most of whom are from Asia

kasha you would get paid less here than in Greece unless you are a coach and work at Aspire

Well, there is a need but I don't think the pay is very good.
