SENDING REMITTANCES AT AL FARDAN

My fellow QL's,

Just wanted to share you my experience when i am sending my remittances to my family. I have been here in Qatar for more than a year now and i always send money to my family every month thru Alfardan exchange located at Hamad street (bank street). It was the first time that i attempted to send money on friday which the remittance office only open in the afternoon. I was shock to what i experienced and observed two major problems. Al fardan open exactly at 4:30pm and a lot of people already pushing outside the door of the exchange office. once the door was opened again pushing started going to the counter/teller. nobody from al fardan management(security) try to assist the people sending money on how to form the cue, so every one wants to be in front and created two or three cue line in one teller(one problem). Once the people are on cue, mostly nepally people are in front and what shock me is one nepally are carrying more than 50 remittances transaction which was sent to him by his fellow nepally for a fee(second problem). If you are in the back of this cue you will need to wait for more than 30 minutes before you do your own transaction. this troubled me and i feel unfair also to other people who went their to cue properly. i suggest that this shoud stop and need immediate attention for the management of Alfardan.

I never send money on Fridays. Knowing the nepali & bangali hike in Hamad street on fridays. Use Al fardhan & Najam..

I know what i saw man. the guy was even using the tellers exerior table top to put all the remittances which he taken out from his belt bag full of remittances transactions. the other guy also who was in fornt of me are carrying 4 remittances and still allowing other guys at the back to take theirs in order to finish early. I am not being racist i only stating the fact.

but enough said, just want to share anyhow what actually happened. thanks for all your comments.

Fridays are the worst days to transfer money...since all the people from the labour camp come on that day....and some even bring more than one....and the rush is huge.

All other days are relatively empty....

Dont ask for a fridays ban for them in Exchanges too...lol

HU WAN I am as cool as a cucumber

He mentioned only Nepalese so that’s being racist. There were other nationalities also. I was there with my friends and I know that’s why I said what I said

remit on a non-friday if you can to avoid hassles. LMAO t_c_or_me! Come on man, be cool. The man is merely stating an incident. Not an iota of anything against anyone.
