Mobile broadband over Hala
I have a Hala number, which I primarily use. I also have a 3G Mobile Broadband sim-card, which I occasionally use for internet on the same phone. I keep swaping the sim cards, which is hassle and inconvenience. The lady in Qtel told me that their 3G sim-card doesn't support working inside mobile phones :)
Is there any way I can contact Qtel via mail or fax? I would like to request to "merge" my accounts on my Hala & 3G sim-cards into one. Its very easy to implement, and it works everywhere in the world. Except here. I am going to pay Hala + 3G tariff anyway. If they want, I can even pay a little extra for convenience of having one sim card. All they have to do is to bill Mobile traffic, which goes through their GRPS gateway fro my Hala sim-card, at their Mobile Broadband rates. Why don't they do it?
Any help is appreciated.
indiman, there are not so many phones with dual sim, and I don't really like the choices anyway - Nokia is a way better for me. I am too dependant on Symbian now.
as for having 2 phones - the only option left then ((. The problem, is that I like me E51 both as a phone and internet device. Owning 2 the same phones doesn't sound good to me. If i go for cheap phone for calls - I am left without needed features. Anyway, this is probably the only way I can go. thx everyone.
I was just trying to suggest improvement for qtel, if I only had their contacts.
hi regarding your inquiry. i also have the kind of situation. in my country philippines its in one sim card. but here its separte your prepaid card and internet card. what i did is i bought another mobile for internet and the old mobile for hala. you can use their 3g mobile broadband using 3g enable mobile no need to buy qtel usb modem. you just need to make connection on your phone which i did. and its good. 24 hours a day i can check my mail anytime and im online 24 hours a day in messanger using fring and its consuming only small amount of your data allowance. you can even connect your mobile to laptop and go online. hope it helps solve your dilemma.
A cellphone with Dual sim slot would be an another option
Nice demonstration of technical knowledge. But it is only QTel that can tell, "WHY THEY ARE NOT DOING IT?".
