What people have now is definately allergies and their are not many drs. that can help here. Antihistamines would not help if its a virus! Why else is the hospital so busy with allergies and asthma when we have dust storms. Its good for people to ask if others are having the same problems and we can share knowledge.
My daily dose of sweet panadol subsides all type of allergies....precautionery.
I feel the dry and humid climate play a major role for tossing our health issues up. Again under the extreme conditions on both sides (summer / winter) make our life more difficult on the health front.
The Dust is really causing hell for those of us with Asthma, take an antihistamine at night and it takes time for it to accumulate in your system before it becomes effective and I have been using rynacort and still my nose can run like a faucet. Its hell. I have an LG air cleaner that is very good HEPA filter, so I suspect today its dust in the air as my machine is doing double work. If you have to go outside best to wear a good mask that can filter the air. People think they have a cold when its really allergies, it makes you really tired as your body is fighting it. I think Dr. Thomas by the Mejalis rest. is a good ENT dr.
same with me.... i had a sore throat for almost 3 weeks. It kept relapsing..... its coz of the dust and change in weather conditions.
Right nw, Im avoiding any food from outside and have been taking multi vitamins everyday with breakfast for a better immune system. Also drinking lots of water, and now Im completely fine :-)
I have had a major cold for over 2 weeks now to a point where I couldnt even get out of bed for 4 days. I am much better now but my sinus is still suffering, and major headaches.

Nothing to do with the dust etc, or the weather changing again or people back from vacation bringing viruses in etc.
It's deadly!

N then thay cough all ove your food...
I just walked out one time...
N then you have to shake hands with that guy with the slimy haqnds....God help us....
You can't teach experience...
How many times have you seen an ill food handler in Doha?
When the guy on the butcher's counter is streaming with a cold, I steer clear, but I have no way of judging who's sick in the prep area.
It's obvious that people working in fast-food outlets, restaurants and supermarkets continue to work despite being ill.
You can't teach experience...
No, it's not just you. Snotty nose and sore throat. had it over a week and just about shaking it off ... ready for the next bug!
it's probably the dust,.. our sinuses are very sensitive to these allergens..
