In Florida......

Its seems that moronic driving is not the sole domain of Doha..

Two British businessmen were killed when they were hit by a Porsche racing another car in Florida.

Father-of-two Craig Elford, 39, and Kenneth Watkinson, 48, were mown down as they walked back to their hotel near Fort Lauderdale beach.

Police say the driver, who was racing another sports car on the 30mph road, fled after the crash. The second car also sped away.

Witnesses described seeing the cars hurtle along at 100mph. Police believe the Porsche lost control and swerved on to the pavement, hitting the men from behind.

Mr Elford’s wife Claire and daughters Charlotte, three, and ten-week-old baby Olivia were with relatives last night.

Great logic Brit...;-)

Anything over 180kmph is asking for trouble....a slight cross wind could lift the vehicle from the ground.....

a lesson learned for all 'Speedster' and luxury super-power car owners.

Sometime, i really don't understand why one should be given a privilege in such Speedy cars on roads to drive at speeds (100mph and over)which are dangerous to all other living creatures.

No denial to destiny call and time are other factors.

"Distance over Time".. hence, Time was being abused or did not know what was happening. So cannot be guilty.

Who is really guilty? I think it's 'time'. Speed = distance over time. I assume distance is innocent. So, who's the killer: time.

Yes speed is a factor, but its stupidity and callousness that are the main cause. I agree with Baldrick that this is murder and they should be prosecuted as such..

Speed is still part of the deadly formula. :(

Sorry, I don't agree. Speed doesn't kill. It is possible to drive fast safely.

Wrecklessness, lack of focus/concentration/awareness, poor vehicle/road maintenance etc. causes accidents. Speed can and does however add to the severity of the accident.

That said, 100 in a 30 limit is sheer lunacy and should be treated as murder.
