The pink panty campaign

Getting a gift on Valentine's Day makes one feel very special, that too getting thousands of gift will make one float in air. But if one gets thousands of pink panties, that too soiled ones, as gift, what kind of feeling would he have?

This is the question to be asked to Ram Sena chief Pramod Mutalik on the eve of the Valentine's Day.

This year the Day is not just going to be a day to celebrate love in India, but would also mark one of its kind protests in the history.

'Pink Chaddi (Panties) campaign', an online protest on Facebook, formed by a group of women against the recent attack in Mangalore, allegedly by Ram Sena, on the pub going women.

As the name suggests, the campaign's motto is to gift pink panties, to Pramod Mutalik, marking their love for him

A blog on the campaign said, "This year let us send the Sri Ram Sena some love. Let us send them some PINK CHADDIS. Look in your closet or buy them cheap. Dirt-cheap. Make sure they are PINK. Send them off to the Sena."

A forum, 'A Consortium of Pub-going, Loose and Forward Women', created in Facebook read, "Join Us on February 14, Valentine's Day, the day in which Indian women's virginity and honor will self-destruct unless they marry or tie a rakhi. Walk to the nearest pub and buy a drink. Raise a toast to the Sri Ram Sena"

The forum already has over 17,000 women as well as men from worldwide, and the count is increasing.

Interestingly, people from all walks of life are joining and responding to this forum, making it to be a massive hit.
