I used to have one of these and can say that its a beautiful car.. Not as pretty as my Pink KIA, but close... Any other votes ??
THE iconic Citroën DS saloon was yesterday voted the most beautiful car of all time.
The French motor, unveiled in 1955, beat scores of expensive classic designs.
More than 1.5 million DS models, styled by Italian Flaminio Bertoni, were sold before it was phased out in 1975.
Celebrity owners included stars Alec Guinness and Brigitte Bardot. French president Charles de Gaulle survived an assassination attempt while riding in one.
Twenty top designers including Maserati’s Giorgetto Giugiaro were polled for Classic & Sports Car magazine.
Giugiaro said the DS — whose name was derived from Diesse, the French for Goddess — was “conceived outside the box”.
A total of 46 cars were nominated, including the Mini, nine Ferraris, the Aston Martin DB9, two Bentleys, two Maseratis and the Triumph TR4.
Rest of Top Ten: Jaguar XK120 and Ferrari 275GTB in joint second place and seven cars joint fourth — the Cord 810/812, Ferrari 250 GT Lusso, Ferrari 250 GT Short-wheelbase, Jaguar E-type, Lamborghini Miura, Lotus Elan, Lotus Elite (1957).
Agree. I have a Jaguar MkII 3.4 and used to own an Alfa Romeo FTV veloce..
There are so many. I suppose the saying that beauty is in the eye of the beholder is true :)
none here i notice of any kind,
I have a lotus elan the plus 2 version in Ireland and no Ferrari but same designer, A Fiat Spider Convertible and a DS21 in White
so many good cars missing from that list
