512 dsl speed
I just got the dsl connection, it's supposed to be 512, but the download never passes 32K, is this natural for qtel dsl connections
I have the modem given by qtel and I live in New Doha if anyone living in or close to that area and does not have the same issue please let me know.
that's to slow, check your firewall setting in the internet options. Also if its wireless connection make sure no one is using it with you. If you are using torrent make an opened port for it in the modem configuration and setup.

Try doing an internet speed check: http://www.speedtest.net/
Make sure you stop all downloads first.
See how the result compares to the promised speed (noting that the speed available will vary, try doing a few tests over a couple of days at different times of day).
Note the speed of your downloads is not just dependent upon YOUR speed, it also relates to the speed supported by the uploader.
If you are not getting the promised speed, I suggest you call QTel
