To South Africans in Doha

I know that you are missing lots of SA products that just cannot be replaced with the similar products on offer in doha. In addition there are some items that you just cannot get.

I wnat to try and get an Idea of what is missing here and the expected demand.

If the demand is good then may be we can get a container filled with Items you would like to see here and have it shipped over.

Or at the very least try and get one of the supermarkets over here to carry the products.

So list the things you would like to see (please no alcohol or pork you know the rules). Like

1. Steers Sauce
2. Nutty Krusk
3. Omas Rusks
4. Flavoured water
5. Bakers Biskuits
6. Freetoes
7. Simba Crisps
8. Biltong
9. Boerewors
10. Mrs Balls Chutney
11. etc etc

Mega Mart have had a shipment of Ina Parmen's herbs and spices, salad dressings and sauces delivered.

They also have Mrs Balls chutney:-)

Best you high-tail it there before everyone else figures out how good they taste.

The South African Coffee shop is run by Daleen in her Villa near Decoration Roundabout, off Salwa Road. She is open from 7:30am - 3:30pm Sunday to Thursday and she serves quiche, koeksusters, etc. However, you can also buy Mrs Balls Chutney, Biltong, Biltong Stix, Boerewors, etc from her and can collect it anytime, as long as you call her first.

Her contact number is 469-0237.

You can add Aromat, Mitchum roll on, proper Braai mix spice, pasta sauce packets(add only water), cook in sauces etc, sandwich fish paste and peppermint chocolate.

I get mine with a friend flying return every 28 days. There's also a SA coffee shop where you can buy some of this stuff(bloody expensive though!).
